Professor Gasteiger develops materials and electrodes for lithium-ion batteries as well as for PEM fuel cells and electrolyzers. To unravel aging mechanisms, he utilizes numerous ex situ and in situ/operando diagnostics. He has published 232 refereed articles (h-index 82, 36300 citations; see siehe publons.com), 15 book chapters, and 38 patents/patent applications. In 2019 and 2020, he was listed as „Highly Cited Researcher“ by the Web of Science (based on articles published 2008-2018 and 2009-2019).
