Bio
Hongjian has a strong research focus on (1) digital fabrication of building materials to increase the construction productivity and (2) development of low-carbon concrete to combat climate change. He specializes in microstructural characterization and properties assessment of concrete. He is now mentoring a few PhD/MEng students on interesting but challenging research topics including 3D concrete printing, nano-cement composites, waste reuse in concrete, etc. Hongjian provides professional consultancy to construction and concrete industry.
