The hallmark of some neurodegenerative diseases is the aggregation of abnormal proteins and formation of inclusion bodies in neural cells. The research group focuses on the mechanism of protein misfolding, amyloidogenic aggregation and biological degradation of these related proteins. Based on the biochemical and structural information, we are trying to understand the pathogenesis of the neurodegenerative diseases.
