Bio
Dr Hadavinia’s main work research area is concerned with measuring, finite element modelling and predicting the performance and behaviour of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) composite structures under monotonic, fatigue loading, impact of composite structures, polymer foams, adhesives and bonded joints, and lifetime prediction methodology of FRP composite and metallic structures. I completed many projects in the past. Few examples are: Fatigue of wind turbine blade, Dynamic behaviour of polymer foams, Behaviour of hybrid composite/steel shear walls, Crashworthiness of fibre reinforced polymer composite, and Fatigue of FR composite materials.
He has published more than 100 scientific papers. He is Editor-in-chief of International Journal of Composite Materials, Editor of Central European Journal of Engineering, Associate Editor of international journal of Recent Patents on Mechanical Engineering, and member of editorial board of international journals of Recent Patents on Materials Science and ISRN Mechanical Engineering. He was invited as Guest Editor for 3 Special issues on Structural Impact & Crashworthiness: Part I and Part II for International Journal of Vehicle Structures & Systems in 2011 and Special Issue on Blast & Impact for Central European Journal of Engineering in 2012. He also chaired many International Conferences on Fracture and Damage Mechanics, serving as a member of international scientific committee of International Conference on Fracture and Damage Mechanics.
