个人简介
Hilda de Pablo Leonardo, researcher at the Marine Environment and Technology Centre (MARETEC). In 1999 she completed a degree in Oceanography at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, and obtained a Master's degree in Ecology, Management and Modelling of Marine Resources at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of the University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 2003. Between 1999 and 2004 she worked at the Centre for Naval and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC) of IST, in cooperation with the Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI), Denmark, where she developed work related to wave and current interaction processes. Posteriorly, between 2004 and 2009, she worked at the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), where she has coordinated and/or participated in several national and international research contracts/projects related to water quality, sediment and marine organisms. She has participated in several oceanographic campaigns onboard research vessels, which allowed her to gain extensive experience in collecting samples and in situ data. Since then, she is working at MARETEC of IST where she develops work related to hydrodynamic and biogeochemical modelling of estuaries, coastal zones and open sea, from an Eulerian and Lagrangian point of view, by applying the MOHID model. In this context, she has participated/coordinated in more than 30 national and international projects, and she has implemented and carried out environmental monitoring programs with a holistic perspective. She is the author or co-author of 28 publication in international peer-reviewed journals and 6 book chapters.
