Bio
Maria Helena de Almeida is Professor of Organizational Behavior, Human Resources Management and Leadership and Organizational Behavior. She is serving as Assistant Professor since 1999 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and since 2012 until now at the Faculty of Economics of University of Algarve. She holds a Master's degree in Educational Sciences from ESE – Superior School of Education of the University of Algarve (2002). She completed a PhD in Organizational Psychology at FCHS - Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at the University of Algarve in 2010.
Maria Helena de Almeida's current research interests include work design, positive attitudes and their implications, work engagement, work empowerment and quality of service (management). Currently she is conducting research in Economics and Business Sciences (Leadership, Organizational, Quality of Service, Supervisor and Client Employees in Hospitality Industry), and Health Care Management (Work Empowerment and Work Engagement). She is author and co-author of about 22 articles in journals of international circulation with scientific arbitration, 15 publications in proceedings of scientific meetings, 2 national scientific books with scientific arbitration with individual character, 2 chapters of international scientific books, 11 chapters of national scientific books, 3 support technical manual and 42 communications in scientific meetings and editor of an international Ebook (in press) in Igi. Global. Professor Helena de Almeida is a reviewer of scientific arbitration of book chapters for IGI Global. Editorial Discovery and Articles for scientific journals such as European Planning Studies and Tourism & Management Studies.
