Hassan Hashemi is a professor of ophthalmology at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and the founder of Noor Eye Hospital and Ophthalmology Research Center. He completed his cornea and anterior segment fellowship in 1991. His research interests include refractive surgery, corneal transplantation, CXL, and ophthalmic epidemiology. He carried out several national projects and population-based studies including the Tehran Eye Study, Tehran Geriatric Eye Study, and Shahroud Eye Cohort Study.
