Hashim A. Hashim (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in mechatronics from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt, the M.Sc. degree in systems and control engineering from the Department of Systems Engineering, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and the Ph.D. degree in robotics and control from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Western University, Ontario, Canada. From 2019 to 2021, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of Engineering and Applied Science, Thompson Rivers University, Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario. His current research interests include vision-based aided navigation and control, localization and mapping, stochastic and deterministic estimation, sensor fusion, and distributed control of multi-agent systems.
