Bio
Harm’s main interest is the structure and evolution of Earth’s tectonic plate boundaries. He has participated in land-based and marine field projects to image the crustal structure of subduction zones, rifted margins, mid-ocean ridges, and continental collision zones. Recent studies funded by the NSF have focused on southern Alaska, Taiwan, the eastern United States margin, and the Cayman Trough. With industry funding, his team also conducted a large-scale seismic refraction study of the northern Gulf of Mexico.
