Career Trajectory
Bio
His research interests lie in the formation, structures and properties of new materials and his main expertise are in materials synthesis and characterisation using X-ray diffraction. Materials of interest include metal–organic frameworks, hybrid organic–inorganic perovskites and molecular conductors for applications such as energy storage, electronics and sensing.
The Yeung Group uses a variety of synthetic techniques to discover new materials and specialises in crystallographic characterisation of materials using single crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. In addition, the group uses and develops in situ experimental techniques to understand materials’ behaviour and formation.
He returned to the UK to take up a Glasstone Fellowship in Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Oxford, which he held from 2016-2019 before moving to Birmingham.
