Bio
Hung-Wei Yen is the researcher of materials science & engineering in the school of aerospace, mechanical and mechatronic engineering (SAMME) at the University of Sydney (USYD). He now works as Atom Probe Scientist with Prof. Simon P. Ringer at the Australian Centre for Microscopy & Microanalysis (ACMM).
Homer’s profession focuses on steels & alloys design, phase transformation theory, and dislocation & crystal defects. He is also an expert in both transmission electron microscopy and atom probe microscopy, and he uses and advances these techniques in order to understand atomic behaviours in materials. His research into atomic clustering, element segregation, and solute partition has demonstrated enhancements in the variety of steels and other advanced materials. He has worked in Taiwan, Canada, Hong Kong, and Australia across various industrial, editorial and academic boards.
