Bio
Hamid Behroozi (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran, in 2000, the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2003, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Concordia University, Montreal, QC, Canada, in 2007. From 2007 to 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Queens University, Kingston, ON, Canada. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Sharif University of Technology. His research interests include information theory, joint source-channel coding, artificial intelligence in signal processing and data science, and cooperative communications. Dr. Behroozi was the recipient of several academic awards, including Ontario Postdoctoral Fellowship awarded by the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation (MRI), Quebec Doctoral Research Scholarship awarded by the Government of Quebec (FQRNT), Hydro Quebec Graduate Award, and Concordia University Graduate Fellowship.
