Bio
I'm currently working as a Ph.D. student in the Laboratory of Photonic Materials and Fiber Devices (FIMAP), Institute of Materials, EPFL. Until recently, I was working as a Jr. Scientist in the Locomotion in Biorobotic and Somatic Systems Group (LBASS) at the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (MPI-IS) (2019-20).
In the past, I was working as a Sr. Research Engineer at the Dept. of Biomedical Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS) (2016-19). Before this, I also worked as a Research Engineer at the NUS (2015-16), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India (2014-15). I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Gandhinagar, and IIT Kharagpur (2014) in collaboration with the University of Oxford (Institute of Biomedical Engineering), UK.
My research interests span from the study of cancer cell deformations, ultrasound therapeutics to the most recent advances in bio-assistive soft robotics, incorporating diverse fields such as mechanics of soft matter, deformable electronics, and adaptive structures, bio-inspired design, smart materials, and flexible sensors.
