个人简介
Dr Dong has developed a broad yet unique skill set through his cross-disciplinary researches, from research experience in membrane fabrication and characterisation through to gas separation and water treatment and engineering. His main research expertises include:
o Synthesis and characterisation of nano-structured porous material for membrane applications (MMMs);
o Extensive knowledge in membrane coating techniques;
o Expertise in membrane technology for various industry gas separation applications, especially in CO2 capture from various sources (flue gas CO2 capture, natural gas sweetening, biogas upgrading);
o Extensive experience in pilot-scale gas separation membrane system design, operation and maintenance (leading role in the ANLEC CO2 capture membrane pilot plant project located at the Vales Point power station in Australia);
o Broad knowledge of carbon capture techniques;
o Extensive knowledge of membrane formation fundamentals, gas transport behaviour (sorption and diffusion) in polymer materials, and expertise in various membrane fabrication techniques;
o An expert in a wide range of membrane fabrication and characterisation techniques (e.g. SEM/EDX, TEM, AFM, TGA, FTIR, DSC, XRD etc.);
o Proficient in a broad range of nano-particle characterisation techniques (e.g. DLS, gas adsorption-desorption analysis etc.)
o Wide knowledge of membrane applications for water treatment;
o Expertise in enzymatic membrane reactors, and enzyme immobilisation techniques.
