Bio
Gorka Sorrosal graduated in automatic and industrial electronic engineering from the University of Deusto, in 2011. He received the M.Sc. degree in control, automatic and robotic engineering from the University of the Basque Country, in 2013, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Deusto, in 2018, with the thesis “Intelligent modeling and optimization strategies for the BTO process (Bioethanol-To-Olefins).” From 2009 to 2016, he worked at DeustoTech Energy (Deusto Foundation) in projects related to computer vision, namely RELIFO, IkusGurune, and VisionTech4Life, and processes optimization, such as BIOTRANS and EOLICO. He started to work at IKERLAN, in 2016, where he is currently a member of the Control and Monitoring Team. His current research interests include the modeling, control, and optimization of complex systems, and computer vision.
