个人简介
Researcher of insects, fungi, bacteria and pollen emitted from natural and made-made sources. Employs Burkard traps and multi-vial cyclone samplers for spore sampling and uses optical microscopy and molecular approaches (PCR, qPCR+metabarcoding) for spore & pollen identification. Uses meteorological data, satellite images, anthropogenic activities eg harvesting, ground truth data to understand interaction between them and fungal spores and pollen grains. Uses land cover maps and models to infer the sources and dispersion patterns of the spores and pollen grains to forecast allergy, asthma and crop/tree diseases. Research interests: Aerobiology, molecular microbiology, remote sensing, crop pathology & modelling.
