Bio
Dr. Martyna’s interdisciplinary research is focused on the atomistic modeling of soft condensed matter and materials systems as well as novel device physics, in addition to his well-known work in physics-based computational methodology development. He is currently working to combine physical measurements with theory and machine learning to study and discover antimicrobial peptides, and to develop a new post-CMOS technology based on strain transductions that promises low power and high speed. New work involves combining neuroscience science, machine learning and novel models of thinking to approach cognition, in silico. .He has co-authored around 140 papers several of which are citations classics - papers with over 1000 citations. Dr. Martyna has over 17,000 citations, and an h-index about 50. He also has over 30 patents inspired by top flight scientific studies.
