个人简介
Gisela Lameira is an architect and researcher of the Center for Studies in Architecture and Urbanism (FAUP, CEAU). Her PhD in Architecture (FAUP, 2017) focused on multi-family housing models in Portugal. In this research, she conducted an extensive survey of housing buildings, categorising their inner characteristics and connecting their resilience to change with current challenges. She is currently a contracted researcher at FAUP (Junior researcher, Institutional Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus, FCT, CEEC/INST/00162/2018, 2019-2025). Under this contract, she is developing the research "AGEING IN PLACE. Integrated architectural proposals for Active Ageing in Portugal" to identify best housing practices for healthy ageing. With Rui J. G. Ramos, she established collaboration protocols with Santa Maria Health School (Portugal) and the Porto4Ageing consortium, which enabled the launch of research projects such as "Architecture4Ageing" and "Independent Living Design¿. These protocols also triggered participation in the recently funded projects "Climate adaptation for older people living in vulnerable urban areas. Designing a Climate-Responsive and Community-based Methodology" [PTDC/GES-URB/2038/2021], and the ongoing multidisciplinary research "ICAVI PSIPAP - Psycho-social impacts of personal assistance program in Portugal", where participatory processes among researchers, technicians and local populations are vital in order to address the inhabitants¿ needs. She also researched resilient design practices, coordinating the round table "Resilient Modes of Inhabitation" at the New Bauhaus Goes South session. "The question of housing". From 2016 to 2019, she worked as a research fellow on the project "Mapping Public Housing: A Critical Review of the State Subsidised Residential Architecture in Portugal 1910-1974", hosted by FAUP/CEAU [P2020-PTDC/CPC-HAT/1688/2014], leading project outputs and publishing continuously on multi-family state-funded and affordable multi-family housing. The "Mapping Public Housing: a guide through a specific terminology in the State-subsidized residential architecture in Portugal" (FAUP, 2019) is particularly noteworthy. This handbook seeks to clarify the broad set of concepts and terms associated with the discourse on housing. Her interests in research also cover real estate ordinary housing and its current challenges, deepening its knowledge from different perspectives in multidisciplinary approaches, and the connection between the 20th state-funded housing research findings with current challenges faced in Portugal and new housing policies implemented in recent years. She teaches History of Contemporary Architecture (Integrated Master, FAUP), tutoring master degree students in housing studies
