Bio
His current research involves investigating relations between gauge and gravity theories and addressing outstanding problems in high energy physics. He proposed a supergravity theory which produces features of pure N=1 SU(N) gauge theory in four dimensions and linear confinement of quarks . He calculated glueball masses using his construction which agree with available data from lattice QCD]. Hailu also proposed a cosmological model in which accelerated expansion followed by smooth transition to decelerating expansion is dynamically generated, the model universe is stabilized during Friedmann evolution by the strong force, and dark energy is sourced by interaction with the background. He wrote equations of motion which provide a tool to systematically studying type IIB backgrounds with N=1 supersymmetry and investigated features of different classes of supergravity flows
