Bio
Giovanni Bottari received his B.S. degree from the University of Messina (Italy) and his PhD from the University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom). He has been a Marie Curie Intra-European and a “Ramón y Cajal” Fellow at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Currently, he is Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at UAM, and Associate Scientist both at “IMDEA Nanoscience” and at the “Institute for Advanced Research in Chemical Sciences (IAdChem)”. His current research interests include, among others, the synthesis and study of covalent and supramolecular phthalocyanine-, subphthalocyanine- and porphyrin-based systems and their self-organization both in solution and on surfaces.
