Associate Professor of “Mechanical Design and Machine Construction” at the University of Bologna since September 2020.
His research interests range from High and Low Cycle Fatigue to Additive Manufacturing (FDM, PBF), Experimental Solid Mechanics and Mechanical Joints. Most papers have an experimental content and statistical tools are often applied for the processing of the data.
Author of more than 180 publications, including over 50 being published in International Journals with Peer-Review, index by WOS/SCOPUS. Author of two chapters and of one scientific book (International Editions).
Tutor of the Collegio Superiore of the University of Bologna.
Professor of the Teaching Units of "Mechanics of Materials and Structures", "Structural Diagnostics", "Machine Design" and "Industrial Products Design Methods T".
Associate Editor of the peer-reviewed International Journal "Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part C: Journal of Mechanical Engineering Science".
