Bio
Mr. Getachew Tafere was born in 1984 in Tigray, Ethiopia. He attended his elementary school education in Agbe Elementary School, Tigray, Ethiopia from 1993 to 2001 and his secondary school education in Alula Aba – Nega Preparatory and Secondary School, Aby-Adi, Tigray from 2001 to 2005. He then joined Hawassa University, Faculty of Natural Science in October. Getachew was employed by Mekelle University, Tigray, Ethiopia in August 2008 where he served as a graduate assistance I, and II and assistance lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology. After two years’ service, he joined the School of Graduate Studies, Haramay University University, in 2010 to pursue graduate studies in the Department of Biology for the degree of Masters of Science in Genetics. After four years’ service, he joined the College of Resources, Sichuan Agricultural University, China in 2018 to pursue PhD in the department of microbiology and he completed his terminal degree (PhD) study in major Molecular Microbiology in 2021. Currently, he doing his Postdoc study in ICGEB, New Delhi, India. He has published 11 high impact SCI journal articles.
