Career Trajectory
Bio
Gernot Oreski was born in Wagna, Austria, in 1978. He received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in polymer engineering and science from the University of Leoben, Leoben, Austria, in 2004 and 2008, respectively.
From 2004 to 2009, he was a Research Assistant at the Polymer Competence Center Leoben, Leoben. He became a Group Leader in 2010, and a Manager of the newly formed Smart Material Testing area in 2017. He was a Lecturer at the Department of Polymer Engineering and Science, University of Leoben. He has authored more than 30 articles. His current research interests include aging and degradation behavior of polymers, material testing with a focus on polymer spectroscopy, polymers for solar energy applications, polymers in semiconductor processing, and microelectronics.
