个人简介
Dr. German Ferreira (R4) is a renowned researcher with strong work experience in the fields of Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD), sustainability, the circular economy, and energy-intensive process industries through the integration of energy, process, and feedstock flexibility. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed articles in 18 different international scientific journals, authored 1 book, co-authored 2 book chapters, given more than 60 oral contributions at international conferences, chaired more than 10 scientific conference sessions, and given at least 10 talks as an invited speaker, mainly focused on areas like engineering and technology, environmental science, and energy. He has supervised 1 doctoral thesis and 3 postdoctoral researchers supported by several competitive Spanish and EU programs. Besides, he has acted as principal investigator/scientific reference in more than 10 R&D+i projects. Dr. Ferreira also dedicated efforts to higher education teaching (both face-to-face and online teaching). He taught undergraduate students (> 300 h) and postgraduate students (>1000 h) at the University of Zaragoza.
Currently, Dr. Ferreira is developing his activities very close to R&D+i and industrial activities under an open innovation framework with the aim of promoting sustainability, the circular economy, energy, process, and feedstock flexibility by mean of integrating new materials or wastes, and Industry 4.0/5.0 by using a holistic approach. Today, he is an international scientific referee, publishing peer-reviewed articles in collaboration with other research centres, ideating and launching challenging R&D+i projects close to industrial requirements, and leading R+D strategies for companies and research organisations.
