Bio
G.V.Brigagão graduated in Chemical Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2013), concluded the Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2016), and concluded Doctorate in Environmental Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2019). Worked as a Visiting Researcher for the Brazilian National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels between 2020 and 2021, through the program PRH17/FINEP/ANP - human resources program in Environmental Engineering in petroleum, natural gas, and biofuels industry. Currently works as a professor at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Has experience in process engineering, with emphasis in the sectors of Oil&Gas, Petrochemicals, Biofuels, and Industrial Gases. Works mainly with research lines involving chemical process modeling, simulation and optimization. The main application subjects have been air separation and oxyfuel processes, power generation, processing of biogas and CO2-rich raw natural gas, supersonic separators, capture of CO2 and H2S through chemical and physical absorption, biomass thermochemical conversion, biorefineries, and CO2 chemical conversion.
