个人简介
Dr George Karalis holds a Diploma in Materials Science and Engineering and a MSc in Materials Chemistry and Technology from the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Ioannina. His main areas of research include fiber reinforced polymer matrix composites, micromechanics-interfaces, chemical functionalization of fibers, multifunctional structural composites, carbon nanomaterials, energy harvesting technologies, thermoelectric and electrothermal effect-devices, sol-gel synthesis of functional nanoparticles, development of functional inks with specific rheological properties for various printing technologies and R2R large scale coating production lines. He also possesses experience in electrical and thermoelectric measurements, destructive mechanical testing and non destructive evaluation tests, while he has a satisfactory background in materials characterization through analytical methods and advanced morphological techniques.
