Bio
Gennadiy I. Churyumov (M'96 – SM’00) was born in the former USSR, in 1952. In 1974 and 1981, he received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in electronic engineering as well as the Ph.D. degree from the Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics, Kharkiv, Ukraine, respectively. In 1997, he received the D.Sc. degree from the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. In 2002, he became a Professor at the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics,
where he now works as a Professor and Head of the Microwave & Optoelectronics Lab. Beginning in 2016, he has been a Professor at the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. His general research interests have been in the fields of the computer modeling of electromagnetic problems and microwave vacuum electron devices, microwave theory and technique, and practical aspects of electromagnetic energy application.
