个人简介
Fuad Baba is a post-doctoral fellow in the department of Civil and Building Engineering (Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science) at the Sherbrooke university in Canada in August 2022. He recently received funding from the CMHC-NSERC for his research. He completed his Ph.D. in the Building (Architectural) Engineering program at Concordia University in July 2022 with a focus on calibration building models based on the indoor measured temperature, sensitivity analysis to find the contribution of each building envelope parameter to indoor thermal condition, climate change and overheating risk, energy consumption, and visual comfort in Canadian existing buildings. His Ph.D. research was funded by several prestigious grants and awards including the FRQNT Canada Graduate Scholarship. Mr. Baba completed a MASc in building (architectural) engineering in 2016, focusing on energy efficiency and building envelope design in residential buildings. Before that, he completed a BSc in Architecture Engineering at the An Najah National University in Palestine.
Mr. Baba is an interdisciplinary scholar with a strong publication record in architecture, design, and engineering. His research investigates the theory and practice of Building Science, Building Envelopes, Building Physics, Building Information Modeling, Big Data Analytics for Optimization Design, Sustainable Building Technologies, urban heat islands, and indoor thermal comfort. He is also involved in several sustainability committees and projects, such as Annex 80, and member of the committee of authors of the second edition of the Palestinian green building guideline and energy efficient building code in Palestine.
