My interests lie at the intersection of particle physics, astrophysics and cosmology.
Dark matter: Recent observations from WMAP have demonstrated that a large fraction of the energy in the Universe - 25% - is in the form of cold matter that does not clump and does not shine light. This dark matter is one of the fundamental constituents of the Universe and, to date, has not been directly observed. Dark matter could be made by massive particles interacting very weakly with regular matter. The Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMPs) predicted by the Super Symmetric extensions of the Standard Model are an excellent candidate for dark matter.
