Bio
Gail Helen Broadbent received the tertiary education from the University of New South Wales at Sydney (UNSW Sydney), Sydney, NSW, Australia.
She is currently a former Transport Policy Advisor for the NSW parliament and NGOs. More recently, she has been researching social attitudes to electric cars with numerous publications on this topic. She has been working on modeling scenarios to ascertain if Australian road transport could reach net-zero emissions by 2050 if a transition was made to electric vehicles and what level of ambition would be required. Further modeling was undertaken to determine what policy options and at what cost could achieve the greatest reduction of GHG emissions from Australia’s road transport. She is an experienced and frequent contributor to print and audio-visual media.
