个人简介
Dr. Yoganandan Govindaraj is working as a post-doctoral researcher at the Hokkaido University, Japan since April 2022. He has completed Doctor of Philosophy in the Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NITC), Kerala. His thesis entitled “Eco-friendly surface treatment for corrosion protection of aerospace aluminum alloy” under the supervision of Dr. J.N. Balaraju, Principal Scientist & Dy. Head, Surface Engineering Division, CSIR National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore, Karnataka, and Dr. C. Lakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, NITC, Kerala. The central theme of his research work was finding a suitable alternate for conventionally used toxic chromate-based anodization and chemical conversion coating processes for the corrosion protection of aerospace aluminum alloy 2024-T3.
Aerospace industries namely M/s Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, M/s Boeing India, and M/s Airbus India showed interest in this process for the practical implementation. At present, as a postdoc, He is extending the research area of surface modification using conducting polymer material by electrochemical and chemical route on different substrates includes steel, paper, plant leaves, etc. towards the application of electrodes for supercapacitors.
