My research interest is focused on studying the physiopathology of neurological diseases. I have acquired electrophysiology expertise and profound knowledge of striatal synaptic plasticity and basal ganglia circuitry. In 2000 I joined Professor Stefani's Lab, where I acquired a good experience in the study of voltage-dependent channels on acutely isolated neurons from all basal ganglia nuclei. My expertise ranges from cell culture, stereotaxic surgery, and molecular biology to electrophysiology in vitro and ex vivo on neuron and glial cells.
In 2003 I joined Professor Pisani's Lab, where I acquired the expertise, leadership, and motivation necessary to successfully carry out my research on movement disorders and neurodegeneration. I have an excellent level of knowledge in Laboratory Animals treatment and Welfare, as well as in translational research and Human protocols research. My best goal is in translational biomedical research and education.
I am very interested and motivated to teach General Physiology, Human Physiology, General Pathology, Neuropathology, Clinical Pathology, Neuroscience, and Neurophysiology.
