个人简介
As a researcher I am passionate about understanding and improving complexity in socio-technical systems. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Systems Engineering and have a background in Electrical Engineering, Robotics and Mechatronics. During my career in the industry, I have experienced the challenges of multidisciplinary collaboration and complexity, with diverse people in the teams, misunderstandings, various ways of working, etc. These experiences, are what drove my curiosity towards the research community, where I am studying complexity in socio-technical systems from various perspectives, including but not limited to, technical, process, social and tooling. By doing this, I hope to shed some light into the multi-faceted nature of complexity and how it is experienced and dealt with in engineering disciplines, while at the same time being very aware of the human-factor for which the psychological, managerial and sociological contributions can be useful towards (part of) a more holistic and all-rounded solution.
