个人简介
Fred’s research is driven by an interdisciplinary approach to the real world inspired by his academic and professional backgrounds (European Law (BSc), Political Economy (Agrégation), Organisational Studies (MSc), Consumer Psychology (PhD); he has also completed academic training in brain imaging data analysis (fMRI). Fred is deeply committed to ethical, societal and policy-making issues (Public Health and Social Policy).
Fred’s academic work aims to apply, improve and extend the literature on embodied cognition to help understand and change economic life. Arguably, the expression “economic life” is broad; and, in his work, he considers various aspects, whether psychological, social, or political, that pertain to the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services.
To date, three main dimensions of Fred’s research encompass these aspects: 1) public health issues, 2) socially conscious consumption, and 3) the development of utopian thinking and practices (transformative social change). As such, his research aligns with the Planetary Health research theme at PBS whose purpose is to develop theoretical and practical solutions to implement and promote more sustainable practices for us to live within planetary boundaries.
