Frank Gerdinand

Frank Gerdinand received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering from Braunschweig University of Technology, Germany in 1993. In the following seven years he worked as quality manager and head of engineering department in a company for polymer film production where he was responsible for implementing ISO 9001, maintenance procedures on product lines and the acquisition for new production lines. In 1999 he started as PhD student at the Institute of High Voltage Technology and Electrical Power Systems, Braunschweig University of Technology. After receiving his PhD degree he got responsible for the working group insulation technology at the same institute. Since 2007 he started working at E-T-A GmbH in the department Innovation & Technology and is now responsible for the future technologies mainly concerning DC switching.
