个人简介
Francis Assadian received the B.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK, USA, in 1982, and the M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Sacramento, CA, USA, in 1991, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Davis, Davis, CA, USA in 1997.
He has more than 30 years of industrial experience of which 17 years are in the automotive domain. He joined Peugeot-Citroen, Ford, and Jaguar-Land Rover as a Technical Expert one after another since 1997. He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, University of California, Davis. His research interests include advanced powertrains, mechatronics, renewable energy, energy optimization, vehicle electronic and electrical architecture, vehicle integration, mathematical modelling and simulation of dynamic engineering systems, vehicle dynamics, and six-sigma. He was awarded the Technical Achievement Award nomination by Ford Co. He was also the Head of the Automotive Engineering Department, Cranfield University, U.K., in 2009. He was an Associate Editor for several journals such as Journal of Control Engineering Practice. He is also the Fellow of IMechE, and a member of SAE and ASHRAE.
