Bio
Francesca Benassi (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 2017, where she is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electronics, telecommunications, and information technologies engineering, working within the framework of the PRIN WPT4WID (“Wireless Power Transfer for Wearable and Implantable Devices”) Project.
In 2017, she joined the Interdepartmental Center for Industrial ICT Research (CIRI ICT), University of Bologna, as a Research Fellow within the EU-supported “HABITAT” Project. Her research interests include the design of wireless power transfer systems operating at microwaves and millimeter waves for both in wearable and implantable biomedical devices and microwave systems for fluid detection.
Ms. Benassi received the MTT-S Graduate Fellowship Award in 2021.
