We study how flower development is controlled at the transcriptional and chromatin levels. We focus in particular on the LEAFY and ARFs proteins and use the development of flower as a model process to address general questions such as the interplay between transcription factors (TF) and chromatin remodeling proteins, the modeling of sequence specific DNA recognition by TF or the evolution of regulatory networks.
Our team is located on the Grenoble “Giant” campus, a very dynamic scientific area devoted to electronics, energy and biology. We benefit from the proximity of European large instruments (Synchrotron, Neutron source) and from the partnership for structural biology (PSB) enables us to use state-of-the-art techniques in the field of protein studies.
Our team belongs to the Plant Cell Physiology Laboratory, one of the ten members of our Institute.
Grenoble is also a great area for outdoor activities such as ski, rock climbing, hikes, mountain bike, canyoning…
