Bio
Frédéric Druon was born in Aubervilliers (Neuf-Trois), France, in 1972. He received the joint degree from Supelec and from Optics-Photonics Master (Institut d’Optique–Univ. Paris 11), in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree from the Laboratoire Charles Fabry de l’Institut d’Optique (LCF France), in 2000. In 1997, he was a Research Visitor with the Center for Ultrafast Optical Science (CUOS), Gérard Mourou’s Group. He joined in 2001 the CNRS, within the LCF in the Laser Group. He is involved in research concerning new ultrafast sources. He received the Le Prix Fabry de Gramont in 2005, Le Prix Jean Jerphagnon in 2011 and the Le prix de la Fibre de l’Innovation in 2015.
