个人简介
Fotis Plessas (S’00–M’04–SM’17) received the B.Sc. degree in physics, the Ph.D. degree in electronics, and the M.Sc. degree in business administration from the University of Patras, Greece, in 1999, 2007, and 2009, respectively.
From 2007 to 2013, he was with Analogies S.A., as a Senior Engineer and the Manager responsible for the development of high-speed wired and wireless connectivity cores for SoC solutions (e.g. USB3.0 PHY, DDR2/3 PHY, and 60GHz PLL). Since 2013, he has been with the Industrial Systems Institute (ISI/Athena RC), the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS/NTUA), Theta Microelectronics, and HDL Design House. He has been an Assistant Professor for analog integrated electronics with the University of Thessaly, Greece, since 2014, where he is also a Faculty Member and the Founder of the Circuits and Systems laboratory. He is one of the co-founders and the CTO of NanoZeta Technologies ltd. Within this context, he has been involved in several projects with major USA, European, and Middle East semiconductor companies, which are covered by confidentiality agreements. He was involved in several research activities at the Applied Electronics Laboratory and the Industrial Systems Institute where he was mainly involved in the area of RF communication circuits, and analog and mixed-mode circuit design. He has successfully taped out complex high-frequency and high-speed ASICs. He has participated in a great number of European and National projects both research and development, in the areas of his research. His research interests focus on the design, analysis and implementation of analog, RF and millimeter-wave circuits, PLL- and injection-locking-based frequency synthesizers. He has extensive experience in wired and wireless communication systems engineering.
He has published over 40 journal and conference papers, one book chapter, and holds two patents. He was a member of the Founding Committee of the Greece IEEE Consumer Electronics Society Chapter.
