Fong Wilson Lam

As a Pediatrician-Scientist, my passion lies within the interactions between neutrophils, platelets, and endothelial cells within the microcirculation and how they regulate both inflammation and thrombosis, which are central to many diseases we treat in the ICU. My laboratory is working on 3 areas: (1) developing novel proteins to attenuating inflammation, (2) testing novel microfluidic devices for apheresis, and (3) identifying platelets' role in microvascular inflammation & thrombosis.
