My central research interest addresses the mechanistic understanding of dynamics, structure and assembly in soft and biological matter. My core expertise are light, X-ray and neutron scattering techniques combined with coarse-grained modeling using analytical and computational approaches from statistical physics and stochastic processes. I aim for an integrative scientific approach, combining ideas from different research fields in a consistent description in terms of statistical physics as well as developing theoretical concepts intended to model experimental data and allow novel analysis and measurement frameworks.
