Bio
Fabiana Fournier received the B.Sc. degree in information systems, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering from the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology. She is currently a Senior Researcher with the Business Automation and Optimization Group, IBM Research—Haifa. She has over 20 years of research in the areas of business processes, event processing, organizational and process modeling, business transformation, and blockchain. Many of the projects in which she has been involved in received prestigious awards, including the IBM Technical and Science Accomplishment Awards in the areas of component business modeling, systems engineering in the aerospace and defense, and artifact-centric processes; the IBM Open-Source Accomplishment Award for the work on the complex event processing tool PROTON; and the IBM Technical and Science Outstanding Accomplishment Award for her work in the area of event processing.
