I am a Medical Doctor and completed my PhD on Medical Parasitology in 2006. Subject of my PhD thesis was Dientamoeba fragilis, but I also dealt with the clinical significance and diagnosis of other intestinal parasites, including Blastocystis, Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, etc. I have also dealt with field studies on intestinal parasites and head lice, both in Manisa and Istanbul. Permethrin resistance is one of research subject conducted in our lab. And, I have been dealing with molecular diagnosis, proteomic analysis of clinical isolates of Leishmania species lately.
