Bio
Frédéric Giraud (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Paris-XI University, Orsay, France, in 1995, the Graduate degree in electrical engineering from the Ecole Normale Superieure de Cachan, Cachan, France, in 1996, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Institue National Polytechnique de Toulouse, Toulouse, France, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Lille, Villeneuve-d'Ascq, France, in 2002. He is a Member of the Laboratory of Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics, University of Lille, Lille, France, where he is currently an Associate Professor. His research focuses on the modeling and control of piezoelectric actuators. He is an Associate Editor for the Ieee Transactions On Haptics.
