His research has focused on the development of novel tools and devices in acoustics,
biomedical imaging and materials research spanning ultrasound characterization, medical
and nondestructive imaging, particle manipulation, physical optics and numerical modeling. The developed techniques are based on (non)linear wave motion in acoustics, such as the parametric mixing, vibro-acoustography, shear-wave dispersion vibrometry, ultrasonic interferometry, resonance spectroscopy, (non)linear acoustic wave scattering with forward and inverse problems to determine the acoustic signatures/ resonances of heterogeneities and elongated objects, acoustic wave propagation in porous media, investigation of the properties of acoustical and optical limited-diffracting beams such as Bessel vortex, trigonometric, or spiral beams, the creation/design of metamaterials using the force of ultrasonic waves, acoustic radiation forces and torques, and the characterization of composite materials using X-ray micro-computed tomography and scanning/transmission electron microscopy.
