My currrent research focuses on the formation of stars, galaxies, and massive black holes in the early Universe, and on constraints on structure formation and cosmological parameters by means of Sunyaev-Zel'dovich effect, X-ray, and weak lensing observations of galaxy clusters. My lesser insterest covered molecular cloud structure, star formation, PDRs, shocks. I taught master-level classes on the interstellar medium and radio astronomy, and bachelor classes on theoretical physics.
