Degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Valencia (2000) and PhD from the University of Alicante (2008). At the end of 2003 she started her doctoral thesis at the Department of Applied Physics of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Alicante. In 2007 she joined the Department of Physics, Engineering Systems and Signal Theory (DFISTS), at the University of Alicante (UA). In 2017 she became Associate Professor in the area of Applied Physics. From 2018 to 2020 she was Head of Studies of the Degree in Sound and Image Engineering in Telecommunications as part of the Management Team of the Higher Polytechnic School (EPS) of the UA. She has taught in several engineering and architecture degrees of the EPS and Master's degree courses in the Faculty of Education. Her interest in improving the teaching of physics is reflected in the various publications, more than 20 papers presented at conferences, she has participated in educational innovation projects and participated in more than 20 other projects sponsored by the UA. In addition, she has continued to train continuously by attending courses sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences of the UA for the improvement of teaching quality. She has also been part of the Tutorial Action Plan for first year students.
From 2003 to 2019 she has belonged to the Electronics and Organic Photonics group of the UA. Since 2020 she has officially belonged to the "Holography and Optical Processing Group" (GHPO), however, she has unofficially collaborated with the GHPO since much earlier. Her research activity has mainly focused on the development of laser devices based on thin films of semiconducting organic materials. In the first stage of her research work, she focused on the search for and characterisation of the laser properties of organic materials to be used as laser active medium by establishing relationships between the structure of the material and its laser properties in order to study which were the optimal parameters of the materials from the point of view of threshold intensity, photostability and emission wavelength to be used as laser active medium deposited in the form of thin films with waveguide structure. In a second stage, her research focused on the design, characterisation and optimisation of distributed feedback laser devices (DFB) based on organic materials with the aim of fabricating small, tunable devices that are adaptable to various applications and can be fabricated on flexible substrates. This approach is essentially multidisciplinary and, therefore, during the time of belonging to this research group, several collaborations with national and international groups were established. In parallel, she has been collaborating with the GHPO for several years in the field of characterisation and modelling of anisotropic structures and liquid crystal displays. Since February 2020, she is officially part of the GHPO belonging to the experimental side on the rigorous characterisation of liquid crystal cells and displays, and on the numerical analysis of Parallell Aligned Liquid Crystal on Silicon (PALCoS) displays.
