Bio
Jae Eun Jang received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K., in 2006. From 2007 to 2011, he was a Principal Senior Researcher with the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, Yongin, South Korea. Since 2011, he has been a Professor in information and communication engineering with the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST), Daegu, South Korea. He first demonstrated the mechanical nanoswitch and mechanical DRAM concept using vertically aligned carbon nanotubes, in 2004 and 2008, respectively. His current research interests include nanodevices for communication purposes and biomimic sensors.
