个人简介
Dr. Cedillo-González (she/her) is a Research Associate in the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari” of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (UNIMORE). She received her B.S. and M.S. from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León (UANL) and her PhD from UNIMORE. Cedillo-González's research focuses on the multidisciplinary development of sustainable engineered processes and materials for construction and environmental remediation. From 2016-2021, she served as an Associate Professor in the School of Chemistry of the UANL. She served as the PI of two research projects granted by the Mexican National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) and the Mexican Ministry of Public Education (SEP). Those projects aimed to develop photocatalytic processes to remove polyethylene and polystyrene micro and nanoplastics from aqueous environments, using green TiO2-based semiconductors. She also performs science communication, focusing on plastic pollution and women in STEM. Additionally, she hosts a podcast for the Spanish-speaking Ph.D. student community, where she examines topics of interest for early carrier researchers such as mentoring, academic writing, and grant proposals.
